Adult Hike & Sip, 21+ in Partnership with the East Bay Regional Park District

Join us for a special edition of Hike & Sip in partnership with the East Bay Regional Park District. Our special guest for the evening will be Michael Charnofsky,

Michael Charnofsky became a Naturalist with the East Bay Regional Park District in 2006.  Before that he led night hikes for the L.A. County Outdoor School for 12 years.  He loves interpreting about the natural world and inspiring people to learn more.  For fun he enjoys native-plant gardening, visiting the desert in spring, and exploring the world with his seven-year-old son.

The journey begins at sunset from the Center into the beautiful surrounding redwood forest. We’ll moderately hike up to 3 miles miles (90-120 minutes) along some of the most popular trails as you learn about the history of Oakland, local plants, and the majestic Redwood trees.

Upon return, hikers will enjoy a charcuterie board and two complimentary glasses of wine, beer, or non-alcoholic beverages. The night will end with stargazing and telescope viewing (weather permitting). Advanced tickets required.

We Recommend:

    • Wearing layers
    • Comfortable walking shoes
    • Water bottle
    • Flashlight for evening hikes
    • Mosquito repellent

We do not allow:

    • Strollers and wheelchairs are not allowed
    • Pets

• Chabot reserves the right to cancel hikes due to low enrollment
No refunds or cancellations.

• In the event of severe weather or other natural conditions that prevent access to the parks reservations will be cancelled, refunded or rescheduled.

•There are no refunds or cancellations for those who are unable to attend. Tickets may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours advance notice providing there is still ample available on a future date.
