Family Nature Adventures: Bats

Join us every 2nd Saturday for Nature Adventures where we’ll take a deep look into a different aspect of the surrounding redwood forest. Your adventure includes a hands-on workshop, access to scientific tools and instruments, and a short exploration work in the forest. We’ll explore themes like forest animals, insects, and trees to name a few. 

Bat Workshop and Evening Hike: Learn about our local bats, the important role they play in the ecosystem, their curious habits and how to detect them. Then take an evening hike to find them.

In the event of poor weather the workshop will be held indoors. Please enter via the observation deck rather than the main entrance.
